Concerns the political, social, commercial and economic aspects of the history of New South Wales and Australia, 1870-1903. Sir William served as a delegate to all the conferences and conventions that resulted in the Constitution creating the Commonwealth of Australia and in the first Federal Parliament, which established the Commonwealth under that Constitution.
